More Moving Out is on the way. Team 17 has just revealed new DLC for one of 2020's best indie games, and the content will arrive in just a few weeks.
Moving Out released to solid reviews in April 0f 2020. Often compared to Overcooked (which Team 17 also published) for being a couch co-op game with chaotic fun from a top-down perspective and a cute art style, Moving Out has since received some additional content. This newest bit has a warm and beachy vibe to it.
The Movers in Paradise DLC is coming to Moving Out on February 25, 2021. The announcement came with a fun little teaser trailer that sees the game moving on to what looks like a deserted island, a far cry from the standard cul-de-sac home life that the base game starts out in. The Movers in Paradise DLC will see 14 new story levels, 4 new movers, and 10 new arcade levels.
For now, Team 17 has refrained from sharing any more information on the DLC. Previous updates of the game saw the addition of a T.Pott mover, new Platinum times, and more. It is likely that Team 17 will share more details about the DLC leading up to or as the Movers in Paradise content release.
February will be a busy month for Team 17, as the publisher is releasing a Zelda-inspired game name Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos this month as well. That game will launch just two days before the new Moving Day DLC, in fact. While big-name triple-A games often dominate the industry, it is nice to see smaller games from publishers like Team 17 still find success as well.
Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service has been a huge hit for the company so far, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. Xbox Game Pass gives subscribers over 100 games to play representing all kinds of genres, including plenty of local co-op games.
There are all kinds of local co-op games on the Xbox Game Pass service, though some are certainly better than others. For those wondering which local co-op games on Xbox Game Pass are most worth their time, here are the 10 best local co-op games on Xbox Game Pass.
One of the big selling points for the Xbox Game Pass service is the fact that it has all of Microsoft's first-party games, and this includes the entire Gears of War franchise. Every Gears of War game offers local co-op for the campaign, and Gears of War 2 onward also features Horde Mode as well. Players can play through the entire Gears of War saga from the beginning on Xbox Game Pass, all the way up to the most recent main series game, Gears 5. The games have all aged well for the most part, offering players intense, action-packed campaigns that are a blast to play through in local co-op.
Metroidvania games rarely offer co-op options, which is part of the reason why Guacamelee 2 stands out from the pack so much. Letting players experience the exploration and platforming elements associated with Metroidvanias in a co-op space is a lot of fun, though it helps that Guacamelee 2 is a fantastic game at its core, too. Guacamelee 2's unique brand of humor, appealing art style, and non-stop action will keep players glued to the screen for the long haul, making it one of the best local co-op options on Game Pass.
