A new Rogue Company character is headed to developer First Watch Games and publisher Hi-Rez Studios' team-oriented tactical third-person shooter. A teaser trailer has just dropped to introduce Mack, a powerful-looking Rogue that players can enjoy in Season 2.
Rogue Company is Hi-Rez's objective and round-based shooter that often is compared to the likes of Valorant and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. One of the things that helps set the game apart is the top-secret syndicate of elite mercenaries that make up the cast of playable Rogues. A couple of months ago, Rogue Company added the character Seeker--and now Mack is joining the battle.
A cinematic teaser trailer has dropped for Mack, the newest character for Rogue Company. The slick video is right in line with the other trailers that have debuted around the lead-up to the release of the game or new content around the shooter. This time, the character with the Irish brogue looks like he may be stepping in to play "good guy." Mack will be joining Rogue Company with the addition of Season 2, which begins on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Rogue Company has continued to evolve and see continual improvement. Along with new content with each new season, Hi-Rez Studios has also allowed Rogue Company to see next-gen upgrades for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, allowing it to be one of the better performing competitive multiplayer shooters on the market. Just like Paladins and Smite continue to see support, Mack is the latest example of ongoing content for Rogue Company.
Hero shooter fans will get more mercenary than hero amongst the Rogues of Rogue Company. In this third-person 4v4 shooter, players suit up as one of the Rogue Company's finest agents to duke it out amongst the best of the best. Across the game, players embark on different modes, use different weapons, and use Rogues with different skillsets to dominate the opposition.
However, Rogue Company has unique mechanics from hero shooters and fast-paced FPS titles alike that can confuse even genre fans. Thankfully, becoming the best Rogue in Rogue Company doesn't have to become as difficult as others think. Just what stand-out tips should agents use to get the job done as efficiently as possible?
Given the rather confined space of maps in Rogue Company, players should take their time to familiarize themselves with the ins and outs of their maps. That way, players know likely shortcuts or identify useful vantage points for ambushes.
Additionally, remember that squads exchange spawn points midway in a match. While a team might not immediately familiarize themselves with their new "side," they sure are familiar with their previous one. In turn, players have to assume that the enemy will take the same path as they have before and strategize on how to counter that very approach.
Understanding the way Perks interact with Traits usually dictate a Rogue's playstyle. For instance, Anvil has the Barricade that lets him deploy a large barricade that can block passages and attacks. Likewise, his Immunity (Passive) gives him immunity from blind and disorient effects. In short, Anvil can lead the frontlines and take charge.
