Right before the release of Ariana Grande's "34+ 35" remix video release with Doja Cat and fellow gaming enthusiast Megan Thee Stallion, the successful pop singer answered some Twitter fan questions in a Q&A session. Ariana shared on the live stream that she is a fan of Sackboy: A Big Adventure and this revelation has both Ariana and Sackboy's fans pleasantly surprised.
Although Ariana Grande's interest in Sackboy: A Big Adventure was news for everyone, this is not the first time she has expressed being interested in video games. Just last year, the singer shared on Twitter that she spent over fifteen hours playing Pokemon and she even got an Eevee tattoo which she shared on her Instagram stories. Aside from her love for Pokemon, Ariana has also been a part of the gaming community as character inspiration for Dangerous Ariana in the mobile game Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.
During the Q&A session, Ariana was asked about her lyrics on the song "six thirty" in which she sings "What you gon' do when I'm bored and I wanna play video games at 2 AM?" Particularly, fans wanted to know what video games she was referring to. Ariana answered that at the moment of writing she might have been thinking about Mario Party or Mario Kart, but that she has been more interested in Sackboy: A Big Adventure recently.
Ariana Grande's statement did not go unnoticed by LittleBigPlanet's Twitter account in which the fragment of the Q&A session in which the pop singer talks about Sackboy was shared. The clip was well-received by both fans of Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Ariana's supporters. Most Twitter users interacted by saying they would like to play with Ariana Grande or talking about how they are more interested in purchasing the game now. Some users even suggested a collaboration between Ariana and Sackboy.
Although having Ariana Grande's tracks on a game expansion would definitely be a good idea, we might not be getting a Sackboy: A Big Adventure DLC featuring tracks from her album Positions soon. This has not stopped fans from imagining a game expansion including Ariana-inspired costumes. A collaboration between Ariana Grande and Sackboy: A Big Adventure does not seem too insane as the game already features familiar pop tunes and a wide variety of costume changes including a Baroque costume, a Renaissance costume, a T-shirt costume, and to outfits based on Days Gone, Ghost of Tsushima, and Death Stranding.
2020 has been a rough year for the entire world, with many finding themselves stuck inside due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Not able to enjoy their usual public activities, many people have turned to video games to escape into digital worlds, where they can get away from some of the stressful situations bearing down on them in real life.
Video games have been huge for socialization during the COVID-19 pandemic, as millions of people around the world have played with friends and family online instead of meeting with them in person. While many have spent this time in versus multiplayer games, there are plenty of cooperative games that have kept people busy as well, with 2020 having quite a few notable co-op games that released over the course of the year.
