Soviet General: We’ve Learnt to Make Contact; Uncovered DoD Document Verifies His Rank and Title

Major General Alekseyev, Head of the USSR’s Flight Safety Service, is corroborated by a discovered DoD document. Back in 2000, General Alekseyev claimed in a rare interview given to a German magazine that the Soviets understood how to lure UFOs.Russia, like the United States, has had to contend with the fact of UFOs for many decades. There were several reports from lower echelons of the military about a high number of unexplained phenomena. These sightings were simply dismissed, just as they were in America. The UFO phenomenon was thought to be a closed case. Aliens and ETs were claimed to be the creation of American capitalism, making millions by exploiting other people’s curiosity.
Major General Alekseyev, Head of the USSR’s Flight Safety Service (Sluzhba Bezopasnosti Poletov), granted an exclusive interview to Dr. Valery Uvarov for the German magazine Magazin2000plus. The interview was published in the May 2000 issue of the magazine. Dr. Uvarov is the head of the Department of UFO Research, Paleosciences, Palaeothechnology of the National Security Academy of Russia. Dr. Uvarov is considered by many as one of the greatest ufologists ever.
This specific interview with General Alekseyev has been heavily contested and attempted debunking. It has been difficult to verify the statements stated in this interview. One of the most difficult tasks is just determining whether Major General Alekseyev was a genuine person. Many of the Soviet Union’s military data and paperwork have been removed from the internet.
That is, till the time of this writing.
DoD Document Uncovered — General Alekseyev Did Exist
Think Tank has obtained a copy of a Department of Defense study titled Russia’s Air Power at a Crossroads. The United States Air Force funded this study paper and it is approved for public release. It confirms that General Alekseyev was who he said he was to Dr. Uvarov. According to this author’s research, this information does not appear to be aligned anyplace else on the internet.UFOs Everywhere
Unidentified flying objects appeared so regularly in the USSR that they were studied not just by the Defense Ministry, but also by other government ministries. Alekseyev claims to be aware of a few military bases where UAP has appeared often. The bases, which included rocket complexes, scientific test facilities, and so on, were always strategically important. The General thinks that since each nuclear rocket, each new airforce facility symbolizes a breakthrough in both scientific and military terms; and because it is at the vanguard of human development, The Phenomenon drew special attention. Anyone who has been following what Luis Elizondo and American officials have been saying about the UAP surrounding American nuclear installations should recognize this.
General Alekseyev describes a situation in which jet-carrying Russian scientists encounter a UFO. They managed to spread out their tasks throughout the observation such that some watched and narrated, others drew, and a third group kept track of time. As a result, the finding gained scientific credibility. It wasn’t simply a sighting; it was a scientific team at work, conducting a kind of real-time experiment. UFO sightings were reported on a regular basis. And clearly, a lot of this sort of material began to accumulate closer to the heart of Soviet leadership in the spheres of the Defence Ministry, the Academy of Sciences, and so on. Not just from regular laypeople, but also from scientists and experts. Military guys, in general, are not prone to fantasizing. They just report on what they witness and what actually happens.
This is how they began to take The Phenomenon seriously.
Provoking UFOs
Due to a lack of official orders, individual officers and commanders at military facilities began to study UFOs on their own initiative.
“I know that in some places they even learned to create a situation which would deliberately provoke the appearance of a UFO. A UFO would appear where there was increased military activity connected, say, with the transportation of special loads. It was enough to artificially stimulate or schedule such a move for a UFO to appear. In other words, some kind of conditional relationship emerged. And they detected it. We’re an intelligent nation, nothing escapes us. I know that at certain testing ranges — I won’t name them, although it’s no longer a secret — they even learned to make contact of a kind” claimed General Alekseyev.
Making Contact
What exactly did “making contact” entail? Aleksey states that when the UFO first emerged; in most cases, it was spherical, but there were others. Contact was made via physical cues such as pointing your arms in different ways, which caused the sphere to flatten in the same way. When military men lifted their arms three times, the UFO smoothed out three times in a vertical orientation. Experiments utilizing technological instruments (theodolites, radar stations, and others) were carried out in the early 1980s on the orders of the then Soviet leadership, as a consequence of which the mysterious objects were securely documented as instrumental data.“When you lifted your arms three times, the UFO smoothed out three times in a vertical orientation” — General Aleksevey
There was no scientific method, according to Aleksevey, but data was undoubtedly captured. Because of the nature of his job as the Head of Flight Safety, he got intelligence from numerous military units around Russia or the Soviet Union as it was known at the time. A large portion of the material acquired by higher-level officials arrived without sufficient annotation or context, making it impossible to establish scientific rigor.
Information for Humanity
When it comes to UFOs, politics has definitely gotten in the way of science. Above all, investigations into what is unknown and unnamed are carried out in order to explain things out. Military experts and military science, in general, have enormous potential that may be comparable with, and in some cases exceeds, that of the Academy of Sciences. Military technology has always been at the cutting edge. The military and intelligence agencies’ interest in UFOs stems from a desire to understand The Phenomena, where it is going, and what it is all about. What if the UAP actually represents a threat from the craft itself? An unintended threat.
That is why they need to find out what is going on. However, the unwillingness to co-operate between the military, intelligence agencies, and the academy of sciences make it hard to make such decisions without the involvement of the government and other state organizations.
This is why the US government is presently conducting three distinct investigator general assessments.
Hopefully, we’ll all be able to make contact.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The original interview with Major General Alekseyev appeared in the May 2000 issue of the German magazine Magazin2000plus. 528hz couldn’t find a copy of the magazine anywhere on the internet. We’ve also contacted the publisher to see if we can find a copy. So far, no luck. Here is a link to the transcript of the interview we were able to source.
