Selling Sunset Season 4: Everything We Know So Far Selling Sunset ppp

The coronavirus pandemic has affected everything.

WARNING: Major spoilers for Selling Sunset Season 3 lie ahead.

Season 3 of Selling Sunset dropped on Netflix on August 7, a few short months after Season 2 started streaming. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, many TV shows are currently on hiatus or indefinitely delayed, which means it may take a while before we get another installment of the hit reality series. But the good news is, a fourth season is definitely on the way. As chatter continues to build, we’ve gathered what we know so far about Season 4 of Selling Sunset.

Selling Sunset was officially renewed for a fourth—and fifth—season.

Netflix announced the news on March 10, along with the renewal of Bling Empire. The release date is still unknown.

Jason and Brett Oppenheim are confirmed to return, along with Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Mary Fitzgerald (and Romain Bonnet), Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, and Davina Potratz.

Davina is leaving The Oppenheim Group.

Davina Potratz is leaving her post at Oppenheim for rival group Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills, she revealed to People. And there are no hard feelings from her former boss, Jason Oppenheim. “I will always want the best for Davina, and I hope that we continue to work together in the future,” he said in a statement.

As for whether Potratz will still participate in Selling Sunset, she said, “I certainly hope that I’m still part of the cast.” Netflix, however, hasn’t commented yet.

Potratz broke the news in the press before telling her castmates, Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, and Heather Rae Young; but she hopes that they understand her decision.

“We all know each other so well. So I think they’ll be excited and supportive,” Potratz told People. “It’s not that I wanted to leave, but I had a great opportunity. It was a purely business decision.”

A cast member reportedly left Oppenheim to start a brokerage.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Christine Quinn revealed that some big changes had taken place at The Oppenheim Group, which will likely feature in Season 4. “There’s been some drama going down,” Quinn revealed. “Someone has left the brokerage for good and started their own brokerage.”

As it turns out, one of the twins, Brett Oppenheim, has made a big career move and started his own brokerage, Oppenheim Real Estate. While it appears as though both brokerages remain linked, there could be some major drama in future episodes of the show that involves the twin brothers going their separate ways in business.

Christine Quinn thinks Season 4 of Selling Sunset is a done deal.

During an interview with Grazia, Christine Quinn seemed to suggest that Season 4 was definitely happening, but that it had been delayed. She revealed, “Unfortunately it has been affected. So usually we get picked up after the show airs, you know, we’ll hear some information, some rumblings. … I think we’re definitely going to get picked up. But everything has been set back due to COVID.”

As for when fans might see a fourth season of the reality show, Quinn explained, “We’re going to shoot next year, now, I’m hearing. We have such a big production, there’s so many people on our crew. I don’t think we’d be filming this year.”

Netflix might not have made an announcement just yet, but Selling Sunset‘s resident villain seems pretty certain the show will be back.

Season 4 could introduce Tarek El Moussa.

Since filming on Season 3 ended, Selling Sunset‘s Heather Rae Young has gotten engaged to HGTV star, Tarek El Moussa. The couple’s relationship has been moving fast, with the engagement taking place on their one year dating anniversary.

While Young’s beau is undoubtedly busy with his own TV shows, such as Flip or Flop, it’s possible that he could make an appearance should Selling Sunset return for a fourth season.

Chrishell Stause is looking forward to the future.

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, the show’s creator, Adam DiVello said that he loved how Season 3 ended, with Chrishell Stause in her new home in the Hollywood Hills. following her split from Justin Hartley. “I love the solitude of it and the way it was situated with the windows looking out over the whole city,” he explained. “This is a girl we’ve followed all over the Valley, and now she’s propped up in the hills, as if she can see everything that’s ahead of her.”

Touching on the finale, Stause agreed and explained, “It symbolizes so much, and I think that viewers will be able to see that as well. I’m wondering, ‘What’s out there? What’s this going to turn into?’ I don’t know what the future holds, but there are endless possibilities now that my plan has completely changed.”

Fingers crossed we get to see whatever Stause does next. She’s the Lauren Conrad of this story, after all.

Maya Vander isn’t leaving.

Maya Vander, who splits her time between L.A. and Miami, shut down speculation that she’s leaving Selling Sunset for good.

“No, I’m not leaving. I’m staying with Jason [Oppenheim],” she told People, confirming that she’s sticking with the Oppenheim real estate group. “I’m actually working with a few potential, very good clients with him in L.A. Just focusing on Miami a lot, but I have a couple of pretty interesting clients that I might have to make the trip to L.A. for.”

The rumors began with a recent podcast interview from Selling Sunset costar Christine Quinn, who said Vander was leaving. “I honestly have no clue why she’d think I was going to leave,” Vander added to People. “But I’m definitely not leaving the old group.”
