Cristiano Ronaldo, an inexhaustible business franchise

MADRID- Cristiano Ronaldo has grown into an inexhaustible franchise of businesses that ranges from fashion and fragrances to hotels and, his most recent business, hair transplant clinics.

The announcement of the opening of a clinic of the Insparya group of hair transplantation in a central area of ​​Madrid is but the last link in a chain of business projects spun to the Portuguese striker, which has taken advantage of the fame gained on the field of play to expand by very different areas.

In this latest investment, Ronaldo owns 50% of the shares of a group with a decade of experience in Portugal and more than 35,000 hair transplants in its history in the Portuguese country, which projects an investment of 25 million euros (mde) over the next four years for its international expansion.

The first phase of this expansion will be the start-up in mid-March of a clinic with 18 operating rooms distributed over six floors on Calle Joaquín Costa in Madrid.

The opening of the first hotel under its Pestana CR7 Lifesyle brand is also scheduled for this year , the one it is building on the capital's Gran Vía, which will have 164 rooms.

This brand, in which the footballer also contributes 50% of the investment, already has two establishments: the one in Funchal, capital of the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira where the Portuguese striker was born, and the one located in the center of Lisbon.

Ronaldo is also allied, since December 2016, with the American gym company Crunch Franchise, with which it has launched the CR7 Crunch Fitness gyms , which arrived in Spain with the aim of starting between 100 and 150 gyms although currently it only has with two, both in Madrid.

This line of gyms, which manages its expansion under the franchise format and offers its users low-cost rates, offers a gym model based on weight machines, exercise bikes and group classes.

There is also the Cristiano Ronaldo Fragrances brand of perfumes , made from an agreement with the Eden Parfums company, a division of the Imperial Pharmaceutical Group (IPG) company.

Also the collection of men's and children's underwear CR7 Underwear , made by the Danish company JBS Textile GRUP; the brand of shirts and jackets CR7 Denim with the company Unity Fashion; and even a line of sheets and bedding, called CR7 Blankets made by the American company Denali.

Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired the most expensive apartment ever sold in Portugal, according to Portuguese media. The Juventus forward has bought a luxurious flat in Lisbon for 7.2 million euros.

As pointed out from the neighboring country, the operation was carried out last summer in the middle of the real estate bubble.

The luxurious apartment, located  next to Parque Eduardo VII and with 288 square meters of space, has three suites, a spa, an indoor pool, a gym and the latest advances in home automation. 

It is not the first property that the Portuguese striker acquires on his land, where he already bought a luxury penthouse five years ago.

The soccer star had a tough fight with two other great fortunes to be able to acquire the desired apartment, which is not far from the humble area in which he resided when he signed for Sporting de Portugal , coming from Madeira and from a humble family.

Cristiano Ronaldo currently resides in a villa in Turin where he lives with his partner and their four children.
