The summers have reached their peak in the country. As the temperatures continue to soar, the Indian Meteorological Department issued a red alert across states in the country sounding a heatwave, asking people to stay at home. Yes, apart from the coronavirus pandemic, there is a dire need for people to stay indoors for the safety of their health.

A heatwave is an acute period when the weather turns excessively hot and the rise in temperature carries repercussions for the human body. From fatigue, excess dehydration, headache, dizziness, fainting cramps, heatstroke, exhaustion-the dangers run many. Elderlies, children and pregnant women carry far more risks than anyone. In some rare cases, a heatwave can also be threatening and impact the nervous and circulatory system in the body.
