What is transformation? Transformation is a process of intense radical change that takes an organization in new direction. It will lead to an entirely different level of effectiveness. Transformation brings basic change of character without a trace of past system or structure. How we can initiate this kind of transformation in an organization? How transferable skills help transform the organization? Then the question is what transferable skills are? Transferable skills when used properly are powerful to transform individuals as well as organizations. All soft skills are transferable skills such as attitudinal skills, Communication skills, Time Management Skills, Interpersonal skills and many more which leads humans towards success in personal and professional life. These are basically stemmed from the family and generic in nature as such also called 'familial skills'.

If an individual focuses on familial skills such as Music, Literary writings, Painting etc' he is sure to excel in his personal life. If he takes up the familial skills as profession, undoubtedly he is bound to excel at global level as performer par excellence. Many a parents are leading, pushing and mentoring their children to learn money making skills and not learning skills. Children are directed since childhood to learn 'Earning skills' instead of 'learning skills'. When the children are compelled to educate themselves focusing on only livelihood, their familial skills which are precious acquired through generations are neglected or die natural death without leaving a trace of such progressive skills.

Personal and professional success is ensured when you nurture your children in the skills they demonstrate at the early age which are naturally hierarchical in nature. If parents are music teachers or possess intense interest in music, this skill will be transferred to the kids naturally and unfortunately killed by parents as they develop a perception that it is not at all useful even for a better living. This will de-motivate the kids eventually and they focus on general education without much enthusiasm. Education is equally important but without skills it is ineffective to transform either individual or organization. Individuals excel in familial skills always contribute for the excellence in organization.

If you find familial skills in a fresher as Recruiter, take them onboard for their skills which will help the organization grow leaps and bounds. An artistic talent in an individual always helps build the creativity and innovation in an organization. In fact, organizations should talk to the parents also before recruiting a fresher to understand the familial skills they posses and in turn the employable candidate about what kind of essential familial skills he is bringing to the organization to make a difference. This will encourage and enhance the performance of the individual in organization. During induction programs, parents meeting should be called for to understand the employable candidate, which in turn help the organization manage them effectively in future.

2. Forming a powerful guiding coalition
3. Creating a vision
4. Communicate the vision
5. Empowering others to act on the vision
6. Planning for and creating short-term wins
7. Consolidating improvements and producing still more change
8. Institutionalizing new approaches

All these eight steps directly or indirectly point towards individual transformation without which organizational transformation is not possible. Individual transformation contributes to the change of culture in organization.

To conclude, Organizations should encourage employable youth with exceptional familial skills to bring creativity and innovation which contributes for a better workplace and help invoke transformation. Individuals should focus on familial skills to excel in their professional life. They should strive to make it their profession without getting influenced by unsuccessful and de-motivating people around them. They should always try hard to be in the company of successful people who transformed their artistic skills into a successful profession. If organizations recruit such employees, they will help build a great performance culture strengthened through creativity and innovation.
