How to Survive Being Dumped Without Drowning in Misery

Being dumped is no fun by any exaggeration of the term. There is nothing idyllic about it. Not only is it a huge blow to the hurt; it also bruises the ego and wounds the spirit just a bit.

It's one of those things that most people simply aren't prepared to handle much less cope with. Learning how to survive being dumped would be great for most. What would help even more though is learning to use this as a catapult to better future relationships.

So, what are the basics of how to survive being dumped and learning to swim instead of merely treading water, or worse, going under.

Most of us aren't dumped when we're at our strongest. The end of a relationship is rarely something that happens over night. It's generally a long time coming and warning signs show up long before the fateful storm turns into a category 5 that wipes out every happy memory in sight turning them into a whirlpool of pain, misery, doom, and gloom.

It isn't a fun place to be.

But learning to use moments like these to help you achieve deeper love, greater passion, and more committed relationships in the future can make the momentary pain of being dumped well worth it.

Give yourself a little time to grieve then take him a few lessons from the experience.

You can do better than survive but find peace in being dumped with the answers to these questions:

1)    What did you learn from your happy moments?

2)    Where did things go wrong?

3)    Was there anything you would/could have done to prevent the way things ended?

4)    Would you have done those things if it would have altered the outcome?

5)    Do you feel that you can be a happier person in the future because you experienced this relationship even though the loss is profound and painful?

Ask and answer these questions. If you realize in the process that you aren't ready for the relationship to end and you want to get your ex back
