Wanda Vision Episode 7 What Is a Nexus Spoiler

In the last few weeks, I really got hooked on the Wanda Vision series.Every Friday, since half past 3 I have been sitting neatly in front of the TV screen to get ready to watch Wanda Vision, just like my childhood, sitting neatly in front of the TV before 8 am waiting for Doraemon's broadcast to start.

I like watching TV series, but Wanda Vision is different, the director gives small hints throughout the episode, how the story plot will work. 

Whether it's from conversations or even "commercials" in each episode. So, fans watched on Friday, and talked about various theories of how the story plot will work until next Friday. It's scarily addictive.

In episode 7 of Wanda Vison, the ad that appears is an anti-depressant called "Nexus". In the "ad", Nexus is described as an "antidepressant that serves as an anchor for returning to reality, or the reality of your choice." 

It was also mentioned that the effect of Nexus is a feeling of being sensitive, facing reality, accepting fate and the possibility of continuing depression. To be honest, I laughed at the advertisement, because it fit Wanda's condition at that time, which seemed to lose control of the reality she created.

However, "advertising" on WandaVision always means more. The name Nexus is not just issued, there must be another meaning to the name of the antidepressant drug Nexus.

The name Nexus also came out in one of the Marvel films , Age Of Ultron. In the film, the Avenger learns from Nick Furry that someone, or something at the time, was actively preventing Ultron from gaining access to the nuclear code. 

Then Tony Stark went to an internet hub in Oslo called Nexus. From there Tony learns that Jarvis, later to become Vision, is actively preventing Ultron from accessing the nuclear code.

This theory makes sense because some of the "commercials" in Wanda Vision's previous episodes relate to Wanda's life, whether it's past trauma or fear in the future. In addition, Nexus in this theory is also related to Jarvis and Ultron which are closely related to Vision.

Apart from Age of Ultron, Nexus also appears in the trailer for Fortnite Nexus War, which was released by Marvel Entertainment in August 2020. 

Nexus here is a cross-dimensional gateway that provides a pathway to various realities, including reality within reality. A being that has the ability to change probability is called a Nexus Being.

The interesting thing is, some Marvel characters who can be said to be Nexus Being are Scarlet Witch / Wanda, Vision and Kang The Conqueror, who are antagonists in the Antman 3 film entitled Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. 

In addition, other Marvel figures associated with Nexus are Dr. Strange, The Fantastic Four, Captain Marvel, She-Hulk, X-Men, Spiderman, Deadpool and Howard The Duck. Nexus in this theory is also associated with the Time Variance Authority (TVA), whose name appears in the Loki trailer.

Wanda Vision is a very unique series. The plot of the story is unique and most importantly how the story is told. In addition, the "World Building" that Marvel created through the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also very interesting. Not forgetting Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bethany, the acting in this episode was also very solid.

Only 2 more episodes left, the series will end, followed by the series The Falcon and Winter Soldier. 

And to be honest, at least until episode 7, Wanda Vision has set a high standard for the Marvel series. Somehow The Falcon and Winter Soldier series can live up to that standard.
