Pokemon Unite Beta Footage Is Being Pulled From the Web

After an incredibly long wait, Pokemon fans finally gotten what they wished for and more last week with the reveals of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus in lieu of the franchise's 25th anniversary this year. In addition to the unexpected sequel to Pokemon Snap releasing just next month, Pokemon fans got another surprise announcement last summer in the form of the upcoming Pokemon Unite MOBA.

While Pokemon Unite initially garnered a poor response from fans due to different expectations, fans now seem rather excited to get their hands on the free-to-play Nintendo Switch and mobile game. Since its reveal, not much has been officially revealed about Pokemon Unite, but following a closed beta in China in January, an ongoing beta for Android users in Canada has resulted in several leaks from players.

Upon joining the regional Pokemon Unite beta test, players are instructed not to capture or stream gameplay footage, but of course, quite a few beta testers have gone against their word and shared several screenshots and gameplay videos online. Now, several YouTube videos posted by Pokemon Unite beta testers have been removed and made private on the site, however, some screenshots seem to have slipped past these strict regulations.

Popular Pokemon leaker Centro Pokemon LEAKS shared a screenshot of what appears to be Pokemon Unite's own Battle Pass, containing different items and cosmetic upgrades. Additionally, the leaker shared a video supposedly containing Cinderace gameplay footage, but the video has since been taken down. Most of the information on Pokemon Unite has come to fans via leaks, such as the different Pokemon cosmetic customization options players can unlock and choose for their playable Pokemon. For the time being, the MOBA game doesn't have an official release date, but fans everywhere could see a regional beta test come to their area soon.

Pokemon Unite is the strategic battle game that is currently in development. This League of Legends-like Pokemon game's reveal was the most disliked video on Pokemon's YouTube Channel, but fans of the series are still looking for details, and the internet has leaked some interesting new information.

Back in June, the Pokemon Company announced the coming MOBA, Pokemon Unite, in development for Switch and mobile. There are very few details of the game floating around the internet, most from the reveal video. However, recently Pokemon Unite began some private internal testing for the game, and some of the testers decided not to keep quiet, leaking Pokemon Unite screenshots an Twitter.

The Pokemon that have currently been revealed to be in the game by the leak are Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Machop, Slowpoke, Froakie, Fletchling, and Charmander along with their basic evolutions. Pikachu, Snorlax, Lucario, and Zeraora were also spoiled, but without their evolutions. All Pokemon will evolve at level 5, then again at level 7 if it has a third evolution.

Basic Pokemon Unite play begins with teams built from 5 basic roles: Support, Standard, Defense, Speed, and Power. Most Pokemon have both long-range and short-range attacks or support. Pokemon learn new moves at levels 1, 3, 5, and 7, then will learn Unite at level 9. Pokemon can be Beginner level, Medium, or Master level, and they can be sorted by order of release or order of recruit time.
