Official Quiz Tells Gamers What Monster Hunter Creature Theyd Be

The official release date of action-adventure title Monster Hunter Rise is less than a week away and Capcom is using different tactics to engage players to check out the upcoming game. Recently, the development team has shared a new online quiz that lets players answer questions to determine which creature in Monster Hunter Rise best matches their personality.

Old and new players will likely agree that the monsters in the Monster Hunter series of games will always be one of the biggest draws to the title. With how often players have to hunt a monster just to farm valuable materials to craft unique weapons and armor, fans will probably have developed a fondness for one or several monsters over the course of their gameplay. So it is no wonder that hunters will want to know which of their favorite monsters is a reflection of themselves.

In a recent tweet by Monster Hunter Information_EN (@MHinfo_en on Twitter), the link to the personality quiz on the official Monster Hunter Asia community website was shared to the public. When players click the link to start the quiz, they have to answer a series of questions of how they will most likely react in a specific situation. The quiz is short, with only 5 questions to answer, so fans will not wait long to find out which Monster Hunter Rise monster reflects their personalities.

In the same site, players can also take another quiz, which tells them which weapon in Monster Hunter Rise, and which hunting buddy is the best pair for their hunts. In this quiz, fans will answer around 4 questions to determine their best weapon match, and after, they need to answer two questions to know if a Palico or Palamute is the best companion for them.

As the release date of the game draws nearer than ever, hunters likely cannot wait to get back into the grind of the Monster Hunter series. And with the announcement of a post-launch free DLC update, with hopefully more to come, fans will likely be playing the game for a long while.

Monster Hunter Rise is launching for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021, and early 2022 for PC players. Like most games in the Monster Hunter series, Rise supports up to four-player cooperative multiplayer on the Switch, and players can also go at it alone if they don't want to play with others. However, some players are wondering if Monster Hunter Rise will have crossplay at all --here's the answer to that.

To be the bearer of bad news, as for now, it seems that Monster Hunter Rise won't support crossplay between Switch and PC players. Capcom has yet to say much about the upcoming PC port, besides the fact that it's coming, and the company has not supported that functionality in the past for older Monster Hunter games that have come to PC, such as Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne.

Capcom released World on Steam only a couple of months after the initial console release of World, and still, the title did not support crossplay between PS4, Xbox One, and PC players. If someone purchased Monster Hunter: World on PC, there's also no way to carry over saved game data from the console versions.
