Genshin Impact Switch Release Allegedly Delayed

Genshin Impact was released on September 28, 2020, with extensive success in bolstering the player base, and commercial success. Within its first two weeks, the game surpassed $100 million in revenue - a highly successful outcome for a new IP. Initially, the game was released on PlayStation, PC, IOS, and Android, but its popularity would not go unnoticed by Nintendo fans, who quickly desired a Switch release.

On January 14, 2020, Genshin Impact was officially announced to release on the Nintendo Switch. Yet, almost a year and a half have passed, and Switch players are still eagerly waiting, but might be required to wait even longer as a delay is looming.

The news comes from Genshin Report, a dedicated Genshin Impact leaker, who has revealed that the Switch version has been delayed due to the lesser hardware of the Nintendo Switch. The news does come as a bit of a shock as the game has continually performed exceptionally well on mobile. The gaming space on mobile has persisted over the years, growing into something that the industry can no longer ignore. Understandably, Genshin Impact would be somewhat demanding due to constant updates and the size of its open world, featuring many RPG elements and complex gameplay systems.

The good news is that hope for a Nintendo Switch version isn't lost, as Genshin Report also states that it's likely to release sometime this year. While no specific release date was revealed, it's better to know that it's still coming in general. In the same Twitter post, Genshin Report stated that, while it could be pushed back, there is also the possibility of Genshin Impact releasing as a Switch Pro exclusive.

One of the most compelling aspects of the game is its consistent updates, adding more content, making quality-of-life changes, and featuring an open world that shares some semblance with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Among the information revealed, players should expect a new Archon Quest sooner than they think and that Baal and Scaramouche remain in development.

Despite being a credible source of information, this remains nothing more than rumors as miHoYo hasn't revealed anything about the Genshin Impact Switch port, but the current silence isn't exactly comforting. Like any other rumor out there, it's best to keep expectations checked. Regardless, it should be interesting to see whether a Nintendo Switch port will be coming later this year or if it will be made available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch Pro.

In Genshin Impact, players are constantly questioning what the best elemental reactions are in the game. Pyro and Cryo, for example, are fan favorites due to their easy usage. Yet, no element is more well-known than that of the City of Freedom, Anemo.

Despite being the first element that the player will use in the game, there are a lot of holes in the way Anemo works. From biological issues to questions about physics and reactions, Anemo has a lot of traits that make no sense. Some of these issues work to make the game more enjoyable, yet some do force the player to question the way Teyvat works.
