By now, Fortnite players are likely accustomed to all the new changes brought by the coming of Chapter 2 Season 6 last month. The hit battle royale game received a well-deserved breath of fresh air by introducing a hefty new Battle Pass, new POI's to the map, huntable and tamable animals out in the wild, and a brand new crafting system which players can use to upgrade and craft new Primal weapons and items.
One huge change that came with Season 6 was the disappearance of any and all Sniper Rifles in regular playlists, including the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle and the Lever Action Rifle, which was just introduced to the game in the previous season. This change saw the coming of Makeshift, Primal, and Mechanical Bows, which can be found, crafted, and upgraded using different materials in-game. Now, a recent leak potentially reveals some upcoming craftable Bows.
Over on Twitter, popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX posted what seems to be either some scrapped or upcoming Bow crafting formulas that are found in the game files, but not enabled for gameplay just yet. The formulas seem to involve the Drift Hop Flopper, the Molten Spicy Fish, and the Pepper, which can be found in Produce Boxes scattered around the map.
These formulas for the newly added Bow weapon reveal that players could potentially be able to combine a Drift Hop Flopper with a Mechanical Bow in order to create a Mechanical Shockwave Bow. In terms of Primal Bows, it looks like fans may see two new ways to craft the deadly Primal Flame Bow by combining either a Molten Spicy Fish or two Peppers with a Primal Bow. By themselves, the Drift Hop Flopper allows players to jump significantly higher than usual, also giving them the ability to jump or fall from massive heights without taking fall damage, while the Molten Spicy Fish and Pepper give players a temporary speed boost.
Currently, players can use two Shockwave grenades in combination with a Mechanical Bow to craft the Mechanical Shockwave Bow, giving them as many mini-Shockwave boosts as they have Arrows in their inventory. Additionally, players can currently combine either one jar of Fireflies or one Gas Can with a Primal Bow to create the Primal Flame Bow. This bow can be used to burn down opponent structures, burn down buildings, or even explode gas stations.
For now, it's unknown whether players will get to see these datamined crafting formulas in-game anytime soon. Of course, it will be interesting to see how and whether Fortnite decides to give players new ways to craft weapons.
