As time passes, more and more new cosmetics are added to Fortnite, but as each season progresses, older items get vaulted and can't be accessed anymore. This is done to encourage players to obtain items as they become available or risk missing out. Up until now, obtaining vaulted items wasn't possible, but a new shop in Fortnite is making some of them available once again for a price.
The free-to-play Battle Royale game has released hundreds of cosmetic items over the course of its nearly four-year run. As a way to make older items accessible to new and longtime players, a "Vaulted a Year or More" section has been added to the Item Shop. It's loaded with outfits, skins, and emotes that haven't been in-game for, as the section title suggests, a year or more. The section is regularly rotating every 24 hours, so have those V-Bucks ready because the rarest and most popular skins may make their way to the shop soon.
While this move by Epic Games is helpful to players who now have a chance at older cosmetics, it's also a strategy to make the free-to-play title even more lucrative. Skins are a huge draw, which is why Fornite is offering Gaming Legends skins that pay homage to other popular games and encourage players to spend. For a modest fee, players can unlock skins like Kratos from God of War or Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, which would go perfect with the recent Fortnite fan recreation of Croft Manor in creative mode.
Not everything in Fornite requires currency, however. There are plenty of ways to earn free loot. One course of action could be to utilize the Reboot a Friend program, which is being reintroduced into the game for a limited time. Players can invite up to three friends who haven't played for 30 days or more. Once they return to the game, all they need to do is play matches together and they can earn points that unlock rewards. The top prize is a Pickaxe that will require 400 points and a bit of grinding.
Players that don't mind the grind may also want to shoot for the new super level Relic Styles of its Season 6 characters. Players are able to exceed the Chapter 2 Season 6 Battle Pass to unlock additional rewards in the form of new looks for the Tarana, Raz, and Spire Assassin skins. The higher a player ascends, the flashier the look. The styles go from Chromium to Runic to Golden, each time adding a new layer of style and glitz. To obtain them all, players will have to increase their level all the way up to 225.
Fortnite's Season 6 Week 4 challenges are now available, and players that are looking to earn some quick XP will undoubtedly want to complete them all. While most of these challenges have fairly straightforward instructions, there is one that may leave some fans slightly confused. Specifically, it is the challenge that asks players to deal damage to opponents with The Recycler in Fortnite, and this guide will explain exactly how that is done.
