Fallout 76 has received numerous patches and updates since its launch, and it is nearly an entirely different game than when it first came out. Today marks the launch of Fallout 76's fourth season, titled Cold Steel, bringing with it the release of the "Locked & Loaded" update.
For those who don't know, Fallout 76 is the multiplayer spin-off of the series that lets players explore a post-apocalyptic Appalachia to fight mutated enemies, build incredible camps, and interact with various factions and NPCs. Today sees the launch of Fallout 76's Cold Steel season that brings a number of events and updates from now until early August.
The update brings a lot for Fallout 76 players to try out and enjoy. The Cold Steel season comes with its own 100 tier pass that players can level up throughout the season to unlock various rewards like cosmetic skins and crafting materials. Some of the large additions include allowing players to have a second C.A.M.P. slot that allows Fallout 76 players to build a second camp on the map that they can fast travel to whenever they wish and new S.P.E.C.I.A.L. slots that allow players to have two sets of perks that they can switch between on the fly to suit their needs.
The update also adds some new functionality to Fallout 76's player-run vending machines and display cases that allows for them to share inventory between a player's two camps as well as now being able to be placed inside of a camp. Locked & Loaded also brings a sizable update to Fallout 76's Daily Ops. The update nearly doubles the amount of Daily Ops missions available with a new mission type, new enemies, modifiers, and locations for players to come across. The update also brings some community-requested features like an aim assist option, batch crafting, more information under the World Activity section of the menu, and various bug fixes and balance tweaks.
The update brings a lot of new content to Fallout 76 and it looks as though it will satisfy the game's player base. With the rest of the Cold Steel season still ahead, there is a lot more to look forward to as well. While some players expressed their disappointment with the game at launch, Bethesda's consistent efforts to update and improve the game are commendable, and has made a lot of progress towards Fallout 76 being a title many Fallout fans are happy with in 2021. Hopefully, the game will continue to receive great support and will keep on growing for its players well into the future.
There's obviously no justifiable reason to commit murder regardless, but the alleged reasoning behind this man's actions is stranger than most. It all comes down to a recent update to Honkai Impact 3rd, another of miHoYo's mobile games. The update, which was applied earlier this month, added bunny costumes and related dance moves to the game in all markets except for China. After a swift backlash from Chinese gamers who found the content out of character and inappropriate, the update was swiftly rolled back, with an official and apologetic statement posted on the official Honkai Impact 3rd Twitter account on April 22nd.
