Capcom is Aware of Monster Hunter Rise Pose Glitch Affecting Save Files

Monster Hunter Rise is off to a great start for Capcom, with fans and critics alike excited about how well the developer has been able to translate the newest direction in the Monster Hunter series to the Nintendo Switch. Rise has already shipped four million copies three days from its release, and the game is poised to ship many more. Despite these early accolades, the game's launch hasn't been without its issues. Players have discovered one particularly frustrating glitch with certain pose sets in the Monster Hunter DLC Pack 1 bundle that corrupts save files.

This glitch is specific to the Action/Hurt Pose DLC gestures. Apparently if players set these gestures to the action bar and then quit the game, is it possible that they won't be able to load that same save file again. It's a big disappointment for eager hunters to lose a ton of progress to a simple glitch like this, and players have been waiting for news of a fix from Capcom. Capcom confirmed the save file bug in Monster Hunter Rise a few days ago, but since then the company has also added more information for players to keep in mind to prevent corrupted saves.

Along with Capcom's original confirmation, the company has added that save file corruption may also happen when players try to set the Action/Hurt poses to the radial menu. Capcom is aware of the save file problem and is working on a fix, but there are a few things players should keep in mind until then. Right now the only completely safe way to use these gestures is from the start menu in Monster Hunter Rise. If players have already set either of these pose sets to their action bar or radial menu, they should remove them as soon as possible.

It's also important for players to know that as of now, it is only the two specific poses that are bugged, and not the entire Monster Hunter DLC Pack 1 itself. Players shouldn't experience save file issues when equipping layered armor pieces like the Fox Mask or applying the make-up and face paint cosmetics the come in the DLC. The other poses and gestures besides the Action and Hurt sets should work fine as well.

Once the save file bug is fixed, affected players can move forward in Monster Hunter Rise with some more confidence. The fix may come as part of a patch update within the few days. Monster Hunter Rise's day one update has already allowed players to access Deluxe Kit content and pre-order bonuses, and the game's first big 2.0 update is scheduled for the end of April.

Monster Hunter Rise is the sixth and the latest installment of the revered Monster Hunter series. Fans of the franchise who own a Nintendo Switch will absolutely find this title delightful. Not only does this game offer the incredible RPG elements and interactivity this franchise is known for, but now they have the chance to play the game on the go.

Like all Monster Hunter games, though, moving around this game's world is not a simple walk in the park. The profusion of monsters in this game will drive the unknowing crazy. Knowing a couple of helpful tips will make their experience in this game so much more fun.
