Call of Duty: Warzone pits players against each other in a massive Battle Royale map. The free-to-play experience is constantly evolving to shake up events, weapons, and strategies happening in the game. Recently, vicious zombies came to Call of Duty: Warzone, but some players may be unable to find them. Read through this guide to take on the horde and win the rewards.
Raven Software just released an update bringing Season 2 to the game. The group seems to be following the trend of improving Zombie modes like the Firebase Z expansion in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Players had a sense that the undead were coming to Warzone before this patch, but now it is confirmed. The cargo tanker Vodianoy has finally reached shore and with it a brand new zombie challenge for fans.
To access the shipwreck point of interest, aim to drop in on the beach towards the south of the Verdansk map. Keep in mind, players should be able to tell the location from all the other enemies aiming to challenge the undead. But to be precise, look towards the Prison and the Shipwreck should be visible. Take out any other players around the area and head into this ship. If possible, get together with a group of allies because otherwise beating through groups of players and zombies will be quite difficult.
To access the Shipwreck, just enter from the side that is completely ripped off. From there, go up the stairs on the right side of the ship. Eventually, players will come across a small room that has a terminal. A prompt will appear asking if the user wants to activate the zombie event and do this to begin. Afterwards, the zombies hinted at for Call of Duty: Warzone will appear in the vicinity and begin attacking those waiting around.
Fortunately, taking out the zombies themselves should not prove to hard for a seasoned group. By finishing off the entire horde, a special Yellow Keycard item in Call of Duty: Warzone will drop. Make sure to pick this up because it is necessary to open a special container found further in the ship. By accessing this crate, players can earn cash, weapons, and more to buff up their soldiers in the Battle Royale. Do not worry if landing in a location far away from the Shipwreck. The zombie encounter can occur multiple times in one match, so just make sure to get over there while the area is still open.
Call of Duty: Warzone fans looking for new locations to explore are in luck, as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Season 2 update has brought significant changes to Verdansk. From a shipwreck infested with Zombies to silos packed with useful gear, there is plenty for Call of Duty: Warzone fans to see.
It turns out that all the rumors regarding Call of Duty: Warzone Zombies were true, as the incoming cargo ship has crashed onto the shore of Verdansk — unleashing hordes of the undead along with it. As of now, the Zombies seem to be limited to only the ship, though they could spread to other locations as the special event continues. While the shipwreck point of interest boasts good loot, players will have to worry about a fresh PvE threat on top of the usual clashes with other players.
