Several teasers have hinted that popular action heroes from the '80s would be coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Aside from hints at various characters, there have been no official confirmations until now. In a clip shared by the official Call of Duty Twitter, it has become confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone will soon receive Rambo among its ranks.
The popular movie icon was hinted at in several Call of Duty: Warzone Tweets. From kill records to slight name play, the developers have showcased several possible characters coming to the game. Now an official date has been revealed, announcing to the community when Rambo will make an appearance.
The Tweet was posted by the official Call of Duty account, and it showcases an operator running through the jungle. The frame shifts, and a bow and arrow become clear as the fire shot lines up the evading target. A small glimpse at the face of Rambo is seen as he prepares to launch the arrow and eliminate another threat. This iconic action hero will be joining the ranks of Call of Duty: Warzone on May 20th of this year. The trailer ends with the text "Become War," which is a famous line from the Rambo franchise. This is one of the many teased characters, and the details of his release are still unknown.
Rambo is known for his compound bow and explosive arrows, as well as his shirtless appearance. The character is only briefly seen in the video, but it is enough confirmation for many fans to start preparing. The Call of Duty: Warzone shift into the 1980s has given the game a unique opportunity to star as their favorite action heroes.
The character will most likely be revealed as a skin for one of the operators. Many are calling it the "Rambo DLC," which is supposed to include multiple heroes based on several teasers and rumors. Earlier, the Terminator was revealed as a possible addition to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Verdansk will become an interesting and chaotic land if all these action heroes are integrated. With Leatherface and Billy from Saw still appearing after the Halloween crossover, the game may be seeing more movie icons appear throughout its history. Call of Duty: Warzone continues to grow in content and options, and Rambo appears to only be 10 days away from an official debut in the land of battle royales.
The Call of Duty franchise is continuing to expand, and now a rumor is spreading that Call of Duty: Warzone could be headed for mobile. While Call of Duty: Mobile does have a battle royale option, cross-play integration is still lacking for the popular title. Many Call of Duty: Warzone fans believe that a mobile port for the battle royale would be more successful, provided it is a viable option.
While there is still no official confirmation, many other battle royale titles have taken the leap to mobile platforms. Fortnite and PUBG are both available on mobile, and Call of Duty: Warzone would be smart to make a similar leap of faith. The possibility that this could happen is only growing stronger as fans discover a job post that possibly hints at the future port.
