Bungie Explains Ada-1s New Destiny 2 Vendor Role

Now that March is over, Destiny 2 is gearing up for the next season while wrapping up Season of the Chosen. This means that Destiny players can look forward to new content coming to the game soon.

For now, some of the new content will be improvements made by the developers to Destiny 2. A recent update from Bungie revealed that most of the new content will be changes being made to various elements of the game. Some of these include changes to the Celerity and Bottomless Grief perks, and changes to several Trials of Osiris and Nightfall weapons. The update also revealed what Ada-1's new vendor role will be now that she's returned to the Tower.

According to the update, Bungie is introducing a type of "quality of life upgrades" to several vendors in the Tower. One of which includes Ada-1 from the Black Armory. Bungie is making Ada-1 the primary vendor closely tied to the upcoming transmog system or Armor Synthesis being added to the game. She will provide players with a variety of armor-focused items and upgrades in Destiny 2.

Also, Ada-1 will sell a randomly selected armor mod from the general and armor slot groups as well as a random Combat style armor mod every day. Allegedly, this should make it easier for players who couldn't obtain the armor mods from Destiny 2 Year 3 to get another chance at them. She will be selling a random armor set from the World Loot Pool with a changing stat roll on a weekly basis.

Ada-1 will also sell players armor upgrade materials such as Upgrade Modules, Enhancement Prisms, and Ascendant Shards in Destiny 2 similar to Banshee-44. Speaking of the gunsmith, since Ada-1 is taking over more armor responsibilities in the Tower, Banshee-44 will not be selling armor mods. But he will still keep the rest of the items in his inventory.

Banshee-44 will also be selling six randomly selected weapons from the World Loot Pool. Two of each will come from the Kinetic, Energy, and Power slots. Each weapon will come with perk rolls that are randomly determined at the beginning of the week. Players will be able to log in at the start of each week and travel to the Tower to see what new weapons Banshee-44 is selling.

So every week, players can expect the chance to get new weapons and armor in Destiny 2 from both Ada-1 and Banshee-44. On top of the previously mentioned changes, Bungie's Player Support Team put together another Hotfix showing the issues that have been fixed in the game and those still being tracked. The update also revealed there will be a Destiny 2 developer live stream next week featuring the Presage Exotic Mission from this season. The live stream will start Wednesday, April 7, at 10 AM.

Last Summer, Bungie made the surprise announcement that not only was Destiny 2 here for the long haul, but it would also get three brand new annual expansions in the form of Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, and Lightfall. That plan remained in place until about a month ago, when Bungie surprised fans yet again with the announcement that a fourth expansion would follow after Lightfall, in order to fully realize its vision for the first saga of the Destiny franchise. For the second time, fans had a full three-year roadmap for the future of Destiny 2, and with the ongoing success of Season of the Chosen, the future of Destiny looked great.
