The Apex Legends servers are having issues once again. Season 9 of Apex Legends has had various issues, and server problems have been a big part of that. The newest wave of content for Respawn Entertainment's shooter has been a joy for players, but unfortunately, many of them have not been able to partake in it.
Season 9: Legacy of Apex Legends has been marred with server crashes. On one hand, it can be expected with gameplay changes, a rush of new and returning players, and more. On the other hand, however, the problems with Season 9 appear to be a bit worse than previous seasons for the battle royale. Today, the issues were back.
Respawn Entertainment sent out a barrage of tweets today updating its player base on the server issues that have occurred in its extremely popular first-person shooter. For part of the day, players were unable to access the game at all. Thankfully, the issue has been partially addressed. Even with the crashes, Season 9 has allowed Apex Legends to set new records for concurrent player counts.
According to the updates from Respawn, the issues should be fixed for battle royale play. However, the problems appear to be persistent for the new 3v3 Arenas mode in Apex Legends. This game mode is the first permanent non-battle royale mode to be added to Apex Legends. Those who have had the chance to try it out seem to be very much enjoying it.
Respawn Entertainment also noted that it will be taking some further measures to help with matchmaking server issues. For example, tonight at 11:30 pm PT the servers will be limited for servicing for 30 minutes. Players will still apparently be able to play matches online in Apex Legends. However, players will not be able to make online purchases like the Season 9 battle pass, for example.
Season 9 of Apex Legends may be the most content-rich update that the game has seen yet. While each new season comes with a new Legend, a fresh battle pass, meta changes, often a new weapon, and more, Season 9 is the first time the game has seen the introduction of a massive permanent new game mode. Arenas is as in-depth a mode as the core battle royale.
The only thing that Season 9 does not have that another season may have introduced is a brand new map. But, in reality, this season even brought some of that with each of the courses for Arenas. With all of that in mind, it does make some sense that the new season comes with hiccups. But for the sake of both Respawn and the players, hopefully, the issues get fixed sooner rather than later.
As a hero-based battle royale, Apex Legends has Legends that give players the opportunity to have an offensive, defensive, or supportive role in every match. Technically-speaking, each Legend in the Respawn battle royale offers unique Tactical Skills that define their unique role throughout the squad. Of course, using these Tacticals efficiently can secure the advantage for the team. However, a Legend's Ultimate Skills can also eliminate entire squads quickly if used properly.
