The announcement came in late March as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum took to Twitter to announce these changes after he presided over a cabinet meeting on 21st March. Remote Visa — What is it?

This is a one-year visa whose issuance enables professionals from all nationalities to live and work remotely from the UAE. This visa is designed specially to facilitate professionals whose work is based in another country.

The beneficiaries of this visa shall reside under their own sponsorship. Additionally, they will have to abide by the T&C issued with the visa.
