This notification was released for efficient candidates for the MHA recruitment into PA (Personal Assistant) Group-B posts in the Government of India, Intelligence Bureau. There are vacant posts and it requires the following:

Candidates possessing 10 + 2 or intermediate or 12th or some equivalent from a recognized institute.

The IB represents Intelligence Bureau. It is the oldest Intelligence agencies in the world. It is the Internal Agency of India formed in the year 1887. The IB headquarters is located in New Delhi, India. The Intelligence Bureau comes directly under the Ministry of Home Affairs control.

The IB releases every year notifications for the recruitment of aspirants into various posts in Intelligence Department. However, the candidates are selected depending on their written test & Interview performance. Eligible aspirants who are interested in taking up jobs in the Police department or Central Government can apply to these positions through the online mode after the notification release.

IB PA (Personal Assistant) exam Pattern

Objective paper on General awareness, reasoning and numerical ability 80 questions for 80 marks.

Written examination for 70 marks. This includes:

Writing essay in English/Hindi in 300 words. 4 topics will be given and you can choose one. This is for 25 marks.

Comprehension in English/Hindi for 15 marks.

English/Hindi test in synonyms, antonyms, language, one word substitution for 30 marks

Both objective and the written examination time duration is 2 hours.

A stenography skill test follows, where English or Hindi Shorthand at 100 words per minute is expected. This is as follows:

Dictation for 10 minutes at the speed of 100 words per minute.

Computer transcription of shorthand as skill test, where 40 minutes is given for English transcription, while 55 minutes is given for Hindi transcription.

Total time for both dictation and computer transcription is 50 minutes.

Selection Process

Candidates acquiring a specific standard with the written test are informed to attend the skill test. The time, date and skill test time will be informed online to such candidates. Admit cards may be downloaded online.

On completing both successfully, the written and skill test, character, antecedent verification and medical examination is followed.

Total time for both dictation and computer transcription is 50 minutes.
