The first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch teases a dead Jedi on Kamino, but who was it? Lucasfilm's new animated Star Wars show for Disney+ focuses on the skilled group of clones known as Clone Force 99 aka the Bad Batch. With a 70-minute premiere episode, Star Wars: The Bad Batch gave audiences plenty of time to better know Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Tech, and Echo. For the majority of the episode, that meant exploring the fallout Order 66 and the defective clones not receiving the Empire's command.

Once the Bad Batch learns about the execution of Order 66 and sees other clones kill the Jedi they once fought beside, the team travels to Kamino. The water planet that serves as the home of the clone army is filled with clones when they arrive and obviously lacking in Jedi. The Star Wars canon hasn't established that any Jedi were stationed at the base to keep an eye on the creation of the clone army, but Star Wars: The Bad Batch appears to reveal that one was killed there during Order 66.

Shortly after their arrival, the Bad Batch watch as two clones cart a dead body through the room. They don't think much about it at first, but then the female being's hand dangles off of it. This causes her lightsaber to drop to the floor. The Bad Batch quickly realizes this means a Jedi was killed on Kamino as part of Order 66, but Star Wars: The Bad Batch doesn't reveal the identity of the person. Without a clear answer on the Jedi's identity, the show leaves the answer up to some speculation and guesswork.

In terms of the official Star Wars canon, there is no known Jedi on Kamino at the time of Order 66. Furthermore, there is no Kaminoan Jedi established in canon at this point or at any point in time. Star Wars: The Bad Batch doesn't present any good looks at this Jedi's bodily features, other than a quick glimpse at her hand, which has five fingers and appears to be purple and green. This rules out it being the first canon Kaminoan Jedi, as they only have three fingers. Fans have speculated this could be Shaak Ti, but the saber is not a match and she dies on Coruscant at Anakin Skywalker's hand in canon.

One potential answer for the identity of Star Wars: The Bad Batch's dead Jedi is Rig Nema. She was a Consular Jedi doctor during the Clone Wars and appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars to help heal Yoda. Nema is an Halaisi with green/gold skin and wore long-sleeved tops that partially covered her hands. This could potentially match with the dead Jedi's hand. Her lightsaber isn't an exact match either, but there are plenty of examples of minor changes like this in Star Wars. Rig Nema hasn't been associated with Kamino in the past, but her position as a doctor and the continued clone experiments on the planet could bring her there potentially when Order 66 happens.
