Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most expansive and vast games in existence. Red Dead Redemption 2 can take over 50 hours to beat, but attempting to complete the game 100% may take upwards of 175 hours on average. For those ambitious enough to travel through the wild wilderness of the west in an attempt to collect everything and complete every aspect of the game, having tools that help keep track of everything may come in handy.

The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is massive, diverse, and beautiful to traverse (so much so that Red Dead Redemption 2 was once confused with a real-life photo), but rather overwhelming. There are those who set off on their journey to perhaps collect everything in the game, but were overcome by the size of the challenge. Many take to the internet for help, hand-written notes, etc. However, there are also some helpful unofficial apps out there that can be extremely useful, and one of them seems to be very effective.

The "Unofficial Map for RDR2" app created by Digitech Apps has a very impressive 4.8 stars out of 5 on the Apple App store out of 3.2 thousand ratings. The application is very robust. The map may be exactly what collectors are looking for in Red Dead Redemption 2.

There are a few major features that should be highlighted when going over the app. The map has over 1,500 locations on it, including easter eggs in Red Dead Redemption 2, treasure, animals, collectibles, rare weapons, and more. There are also 50 different categories on the map such as Strangers and Legendary Animals. For those who need to find something specific, there is a nifty quick search option as well. Additionally, the Progress Tracker feature should be very useful, in that players can mark locations, items, or collectibles that have been found. A Take Notes feature can also replace those stick notes that get plastered all over the monitor.

Red Dead Redemption 2 took years to develop, and the end result is a game that is truly breathtaking. For those who simply want to enjoy the core game start to finish, Red Dead Redemption 2 has a tremendous amount to offer with its story mode and campaign. But outside of that, even the online component (which is now available as a standalone experience) allows for seemingly countless hours. For those who want to try to beat Red Dead Redemption 2 100%, it is quite the challenge. However, maybe with a little help, it can certainly be done.

Announced via the company's Twitter page, Rockstar Games will be offering Red Dead Online as a standalone release later this year on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar Games Launcher. It will be available to purchase from December 1, and will allegedly include all current and future updates for the game.

As for whether players purchasing the separate addition of Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode will still be able to gain access to its campaign, Rockstar revealed that the story mode can be unlocked if buyers change their minds. It'll be a big switch up to the game that will surely entice some new blood to join the servers and play with its array of long-time Red Dead Online players.
