As the release of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart approaches, more and more info on the game is coming out. Audiences are eager to learn as much as they can since this will mark the first game in the flagship series to hit the PlayStation 5. The titular characters and the worlds they explore will look better than ever thanks to the next-gen hardware, and players will be able to capture every moment of this new adventure thanks to the recently announced Photo Mode.

The inclusion of a Photo Mode is standard practice for games nowadays. The omission of one would certainly be noticed, especially when it comes to the colorful, exciting worlds that the Ratchet and Clank series frequently explores. With the graphics the PS5 is able to produce, there will be plenty of gorgeous locales to snap pictures of in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, well as interesting or funny points along the journey to capture and share online. The quick changing of scenery through dimensional rifts should make for particularly worthy photos.
Aside from various tidbits of information like the aforementioned Photo Mode, Insomniac also released a brand new Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart trailer that reveals more story, shows off fresh gameplay, and includes a surprise twist. When the game showed off its dimension-hopping premise during last summer's reveal trailer, a mysterious female Lombax made an appearance at its conclusion. The game's newest trailer makes it clear that she has a bigger part to play than audiences may have assumed. The trailer also confirms the character's name as Rivet.
Since the upcoming sequel doesn't release until June, there is still quite a lot that hasn't been revealed yet. Insomniac will slowly trickle out more information as the launch date approaches, but there are features that players are hoping will return with the latest installment. Since weapons play such an integral role in the series, there are hopes that certain fan-favorite weapons will also return. Players are likely already making their own lists of weapons that should come back in Rift Apart.
There have been more Dragon Ball games than some fans can keep track of. While nearly all of these games recount the iconic battles of Goku and the other Z-Fighters, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was one of the few to capture the series in such a complete way. As amazing as the game turned out though, Dragon Ball isn't a story that lends itself particularly well to the format of an RPG. In fact, there are a number of anime that probably could've used the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot style of gameplay in a more effective way.

For those new to the series who want to see where it all started, or those who want to take a stroll down memory lane, the remake of the original Ratchet & Clank is available in the PlayStation Store. PlayStation 5 owners can also play an upgraded port of the title as well, thanks to a recent update by developer Insomniac Games. There's nothing in the way of new features, but the hardware of the next-gen system allows for a nice boost in FPS. Players can jump onto their PS5 and download the 60 FPS Ratchet and Clank update right now.
