A new Fortnite leak has revealed some big details around a few new weapons. One of the most eye-catching details in the Fortnite leak is the new Recycler weapon.

Fortnite Season 6 is still just starting to get underway and has already brought some big changes with it, like taming raptors to be an ally. And there is still a lot of new features and weapons shown in the season's trailer that has yet to be added to the game, including the new Recycler. For players who can't wait to see what the interesting-looking weapon actually does, however, can get a small taste thanks to data-miner HYPEX on Twitter.

Fortnite is no stranger to unique gun concepts, but the Recycler has a very unique playstyle surrounding it to help it stand out. Looking like an angry industrial leaf blower, the Recycler does not require ammo but instead harvests materials around the player before shooting them out as an explosive. All players have to do to fire the weapon is be around objects on the map, including building materials and environmental pieces like bushes and trash cans; almost everything on the map can be used as ammunition to Fortnite's Recycler.

The Recycler also has rather impressive stats, especially for a weapon that literally uses trash. According to a tweet from iFireMonkey, the Recycler will come in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants. All three of the rarities have a magazine size of 3, which requires players to vacuum up junk around them to reload, which only takes 2 seconds. The Recycler also boasts solid damage for every variation. For a direct hit on an enemy player, the Rare version deals 75 damage, the Epic deals 79 damage, and the Legendary deals 83 damage, making the Recycler a great set up for a quick weapon switch to finish enemies off after a direct hit, and should send ripples through Fortnite's current weapon meta.

There is no news on when the weapon may be added to the game, but with Epic steadily releasing updates for Fortnite every week, it should not be too long before players can get their hands on it. For players who are desperate for a sneak peek at the weapon in action, it can actually be seen in the Fortnite Season 6 trailer in a quick flash at the 45-second mark. When the Recycler does get added, it should be a fun new weapon for players to experiment with on top of all the other new content added to Fortnite in what is starting to be a pretty content stacked new season.

Starting today, Fortnite should run a lot better on Nintendo Switch thanks to an update from Epic Games. When Fortnite launched on Switch in 2018, fans were disappointed by the number of bugs and rendering issues that plagued the experience, but the developer has been aiming to improve it since.

Many of the bugs and issues have been ironed out, but some fans have still struggled with low resolution and frame rate on the console. The issues were not as severe when the Switch was in docked mode, but many players still found issues in the low resolution decreasing the visibility of other players when playing Fortnite in handheld mode.
