Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has already had two patches this week, and now developer Treyarch is closing out the week with a Double Weapon XP weekend for both Cold War and Warzone. You can access the Double XP boost right now on all platforms, and it will be available until February 16 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. That's plenty of time to get your favorite weapons leveled up.

This week's patches addressed a number of issues relating to the newly-launched League Play, as well as Zombies and general multiplayer fixes. League Play is a competitive-minded option for those looking to have a more serious and intense experience. It sorts players into a skill-based division and tasks them to move up a ranking ladder.

As for Zombies, the latest patch added some stability improvements that could previously cause the game to crash during certain rounds.

Outside of Black Ops Cold War, Activision continues to update Call of Duty: Warzone and do what it can to stop cheaters from plaguing the battle royale. A new playlist update is live that changes both games' modes, and we learned recently that it was, to little surprise, the best-selling game of 2020. The company issued a new ban wave this week, bringing the total number of bans to date above 300,000.
