When Marvel Studios confirmed that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would be the official title for the film series' third installment, it initiated a whole new wave of speculation among curious fans. Now, a rumor that could have significant implications on the MCU's future is a new casting call that allegedly seeks to fill another major role in Quantumania.

"Quantumania" clearly indicates the involvement of the Quantum Realm in the film's plot, which has been a key element in previous storylines involving time travel. That detail, along with the fact that Quantumania will reportedly be the first MCU film to feature Kang the Conqueror (who is a time-traveling entity), could hint at a massive multiverse plot with all sorts of unexpected surprises. However, Kang may not be the only newcomer who will shake up the MCU. According to Murphy's Multiverse, the third film's production team is looking to bring on a "young female of any ethnicity" between 9 and 12 years old to play an "unnamed lead character" alongside Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly's Wasp.
The report also notes that the mystery character is not likely to be a younger version of Kathryn Newton's Cassie Lang since Abby Ryder Fortson, the original child actor who played a budding Cassie Lang in the previous Ant-Man films, would technically qualify for the casting. The prevailing theory among fans is that Ant-Man 3 seeks to introduce a brand new superhero this time around. But who could this mystery character be? Well, since the casting call also mentions that they are looking to hire someone with "singing, dancing, and comedic chops," some people believe it will be the fan-favorite mutant Dazzler from the comic books, who can produce light shows, holograms, and hard-light constructs.
Dazzler is all about putting on a show, so her personality matches the casting call's description perfectly. Additionally, given that Dazzler is a mutant, there could a chance that Quantumania will feature an X-Men crossover of some sort, should she end up being the mystery character. Of course, such a theory is just speculation at this point since nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

If Quantumania does introduce Dazzler, it wouldn't the first time the MCU introduced potential new characters as children. Fans will recall that in WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff's twin boys Billy and Tommy made their MCU debut, and according to the comic books, such characters should go on to become Wiccan and Speed, likely as part of the Young Avengers.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has not ruled out the possibility of introducing the Young Avengers to the MCU. However, no new Avengers projects of any kind have been added to Marvel Studio's release calendar at this time.
One of these endings, as is mentioned above, is more of a traditional happy ending. Whereas the other seems more like a sacrifice and is, therefore, more bittersweet. Both fit their versions of the Lord of the Rings story and therefore make sense. Yet, some people might prefer a happier ending for Eowyn's character, especially given all that she goes through to get there. At the same time, others will like a more bittersweet sort of ending. Luckily, one version of the story gives her a truly happy ending, while the other is more bittersweet. But which is which? Do the books or movies have a happier ending?
